.25 cup .25 Honey Powder
2 tbsp 2 Smoked Paprika
2 tbsp 2 Chili Powder
1 tbsp 1 Brown Sugar
1 tsp 1 Garlic Powder
1 tsp 1 Onion Powder
1 tsp 1 Ground Mustard
1 tsp 1 Black Pepper – Ground
1 tsp 1 Sea Salt
.25 tsp .25 Cayenne Pepper or more
Directions
- Blend: Combine all ingredients in a bowl or spice grinder to ensure a uniform powder, especially to break up any clumps in the honey powder.

- Apply: Pat the ribs dry, apply a light coat of mustard or oil, and rub generously on all sides.

- Smoke: Smoke ribs at 225°F–275°F.

- Finish: For extra flavor, wrap in foil with extra honey and butter.
Notes
- Pro-Tips for Honey Mesquite Ribs:
Honey Powder vs. Liquid: Use honey powder for a dry rub that sticks well. If using liquid honey, apply it during the wrap phase, not the initial rub.
Best Pairings: This rub pairs perfectly with mesquite wood chunks or pellets, which provide an intense, authentic smoky flavor.
